My Anonymous Hairloss Page

Does anyone recognize this pattern of hair loss?

I am a male aged 23. I have been battling hair loss from about December 1998. In the 11 months up to October 1999 I lost about 80% of my hair in a mostly diffuse pattern (several pictures are posted below). Since then the hair loss has slowed, but no regrowth has happened.

Despite many efforts to find out the cause of this sudden hair loss, me and the doctors treating me are baffled by it. Have you seen such a pattern of hair loss, or have you experienced a similar pattern yourself? If so - please let me know, it might help me find out the reason of my own hair loss.

P.S. The pictures which show a broad view of my head may be misleading since it appears that there is much more hair than is actually present. This is due to the resolution limitations of the digital camera used. The closeup pictures reveal just how extensive the hair loss is.
